How to Compare Prices When You Buy Railing Online

Remember when you buy railing online that it is important to make your buying decision based on the “delivered” price, which is the total price that you pay for the railing, shipping, and any fees or taxes. Some companies will lure you in with low advertised rates, only to stick it to you with hidden fees and shipping charges. Others will catch your attention with headlines like “Free Shipping”; but, often they are just hiding the shipping costs by raising the price of their railing.

We believe in offering low prices everyday and fair shipping rates, which often leads to the best delivered price. When we do offer "Free Shipping", on qualified orders, we do so based on our already low prices with no hidden fees or charges.

3 Things to Do Before You Buy Aluminum Railing

1) Compare Apples to Apples - This is important when comparing different aluminum railing systems. Two railings that look alike could, in reality, be drastically different when you consider their specifications. The key things to look for are: how thick is the aluminum on the rails, pickets, and posts; how far apart are the pickets spaced; what is the actual length of the section; and what is the quality of the powder coat on the aluminum. For example, aluminum railing A might have rails that are .090 wall thickness, where railing B has 2" posts with .075 wall thickness; details that are hard to pick up with the naked eye, but are important to the overall performance of the railing.

2) Delivered Price - Always look at the delivered price of the railing (the total that comes out of your pocket to get the railing to your house) instead of the advertised price. Remember to factor in shipping charges, fees, and any applicable taxes.

3) Warranty - A strong warranty on your aluminum railing system is important. Even more important is a strong warranty from a company with the reputation and resources to stand behind it. Digger Specialties, for example, is the Manufacturer of Westbury Aluminum Railing. They have been in the Fence business for over 26 years and have established a solid reputation as a leader in the industry.
