Rail end caps are used to attach your brace rails (top, mid, or bottom) to your terminal posts. The are also called rail end cups, top rail caps, or just rail ends.
Heavy Mil Vinyl Rail Ends are a premium product that feature enhanced durability and color protection. They are dipped in pvc vinyl as the final stage of finishing, giving them a heavier coating than powder coated fittings. If you are looking for end caps that have improved scratch resistance, then heavy-mil fittings are the way to go. They are available in lightweight aluminum for 1-3/8" top rail, or pressed steel for 1-5/8" top rail. The 1-5/8" version has a hole in the top of the cap to run a truss rod through for a brace and truss support system.
There is a minimum order quantity of 10 for each of our heavy-mil vinyl coated fittings. All heavy-mil fittings are coated to order and are not returnable.

Attach your pressed steel rail end cap to your terminal post with an appropriately sized brace band and a 5/16" x 1-1/4" carriage bolt. Sandwich the rail end bolt hole between the bolt holes of the brace band, and insert your carriage bolt through all 3 holes. Tighten the nut until the rail end is secure. Install 1 rail end for every brace rail connection; so, if you have top rail, mid-rail, and bottom rail on your fence, you will need 3 rail ends, 3 brace bands, and 3 carriage bolts (double if it's a corner post).
Please note that due to manufacturer differences, your product may not look exactly as shown. Also, colors may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, and may not match your fence exactly.
