Signet Fence & Rail Supplies LLC (dba Signet Fence) is a family owned and operated business that was founded in 2011. Our mission in founding the company was to provide a large variety of professional grade fence materials at fair and transparent prices. Since then, we have worked with thousands of homeowners, contractors, and fence professionals for all of their fencing needs.

We are located in Western Pennsylvania, in the heart of Amish country and about halfway between Pittsburgh, PA and Cleveland, OH, but we sell fencing throughout the continental U.S.. Chances are good that if you look around, you'll see the products that we've sold at homes, ball fields, farms, country clubs, and Fortune 500 companies across the country.

Our customers love the fact that we sell only the highest quality products, typically at prices they can't get in their local area. We take pride in our work and only sell products that we have either used ourselves or would recommend to our friends and family. You will not find any cheaply made, junk grade products here just because they may have higher profit margins. All of the manufacturer's that we work with have excellent reputations, financial security, and stand behind their products with excellent warranties. We are authorized dealers of each company that we work with, so you can rest assured that we've vetted them and they've vetted us.

In addition to selling fencing, railing, and other outdoor supplies, we also have a passion for educating "do-it-yourselfers" and even some professionals on fencing & railing projects. Why don't you have a phone number listed on your website? How do I contact you?

In 2016, as we continued to grow, we had a decision to make: we could either raise our prices across the board and hire additional customer service staff to answer phone calls, or we could keep our prices as low as possible and continue to provide top-notch customer service via email and chat. We talked with many customers who told us that they would prefer to continue to save money when they bought from us.

Having a customer service line is no indicator of great customer service anyway. How many times have you called a company's customer service line only to be sent to one of their call centers in another country, talking to a person that has limited knowledge of the company's products, reads from a script, and frankly, at least in some cases, could care less about your issue. We promise you'll never experience that with Signet Fence. Often the person you'll be communicating with is an owner of the company; but, even if they're not, you can rest assured that they are an expert on all of our products and are empowered to solve your problem.

You can email any questions, comments, or requests for quotes to info@signetfence.com and we will get back to you within 1 business day (often within a couple of hours). You can also use the chat feature on our site to request a chat or leave us a message. The main benefit of using email or chat to communicate is that you will never get the dreaded, dismissive "I don't know" that kills the conversation. If we don't know the answer right away, email gives us the time to research it or call one of our partners to get it.

Just because we don't have a number listed, doesn't mean that we never talk to our customers. We often call our customers when we feel like responding via email wouldn't be the best way to solve a particular problem. You can also use this contact form to request us to give you a call if, for any reason, you are unable to communicate via email.

Do you have any physical stores in my area?

No, we are an online only retailer like Wayfair, Hayneedle, and other eCommerce companies.

Can I pick my order up at your facility?

At this time, we do not allow customer pickups. All of our items are shipped to your home or business.

Where do your fences & railing ship from?

Some of our products ship from our facility in Western Pennsylvania, others ship from distributors that we work with across the country. Many of our products, however, ship from our manufacturing partners like Certainteed, Superior Vinyl, Key Link Aluminum, and OZCO Building Products. It is often more cost effective for us to ship these items directly from the manufacturer, rather than take delivery of them and then ship them out ourselves.

Why did my shipping price change when I went to checkout?

When you fill your cart up and get an estimated shipping rate, that rate is based on the zip code and state that you enter, but does not take into account whether your address is a residential or commercial address. Some carriers, like UPS, FEDEX, and LTL carriers charge higher fees for residential deliveries. When you actually enter your address at checkout, it is validated by our system as either a commercial or residential address. If it is commercial, then you shouldn't see a change in shipping cost. If it is a residential address, then the higher carrier rates are updated automatically.
