The Key-Link American Series Cross Over Adapter fits into your newel post and lets you connect two top rails together, creating one continuous rail. Cross Over Adapters come in handy when you don't want a post protruding up in between each of your railing section. They provide a cleaner look and a smooth, continuous surface. Choose the adapter that matches your railing type - stair or level, and your post size - 2-1/2", 3-1/4", or 4".
When you order an adapter, you do not need a post cap for your newel post. The adapter acts as a cap since it fits tightly inside the post.
Key-Link American Series Color Options
Key-Link Cross Over Adapters come in the same 13 colors as the American Series Railing, so matching your section or post is no problem. Standard colors are usually available to ship quickly, while special order colors require a production time.
