Male Wall Plates make it easy to hang your chain link gate from an outside wall, brick pillar, or even a flat wood post. This hinge works just like any other male strap hinge, in that it has a 1-1/2" pin, upon which the female hinge rests. Strap hinges are the most common hinges for chain link gates, especially residential grade gates; their low cost, ease of install, durability, and smooth operation make them the top choice.

Typicall installations call for 2 hinges per gate, but tall / heavy gates may require 3 hinges for additional support. Fasteners will vary depending on the type of material that you are connecting the plate to, and thus are sold separately.
