Pressed Steel Rail Ends are great for attaching chain link brace railing to terminal posts when not using a truss rod (if you are, check out our combo rail ends). The heavy duty pressed steel design mounts easily to the post with an appropriately sized brace band, and holds the rail in place. Pressed Steel is typically used for commercial and industrial applications, as it is stronger and will last longer than aluminum.

These rail ends are also useful for building greenhouses and other tubular structures where a truss rod hole in the rail end is not desirable.

Installation

Attach your pressed steel rail end cap to your terminal post with an appropriately sized brace band and a 5/16" x 1-1/4" carriage bolt. Sandwich the rail end bolt hole between the bolt holes of the brace band, and insert your carriage bolt through all 3 holes. Tighten the nut until the rail end is secure. Install 1 rail end for every brace rail connection; so, if you have top rail, mid-rail, and bottom rail on your fence, you will need 3 rail ends, 3 brace bands, and 3 carriage bolts (double if it's a corner post).
