Our 30" x 3/8" Galvanized Drop Rod is great for securing residential chain link double gates. The galvanized coating protects against rust, while the solid 3/8" steel tube is strong & durable. This is a drop rod only; no guides or hardware are included with the rod. You can use two female gate hinges to act as guides for the rod. You can also install a piece of galvanized pipe or pvc pipe in the ground to lower the drop rod into, or you can use one of our chain link center stops.

Excellent drop rod
When I bought my house the drop rod for the gate was missing. These are impossible to find in stores, so I ordered this one and it's exactly what it says- a galvanized drop rod. It looks great, it's sturdy, it shipped fast, my gate stays closed.
