Product Description
Beveled Brace Band — Galvanized Steel, Commercial Grade for Chain Link Terminals
- Commercial Strength: Beveled profile and heavy galvanized steel for long service life
- Multi-Purpose Connection: Attach top rail, brace rails, truss rods, tension wire, or barbed wire to terminal posts
- Cleaner Fit: Beveled shape nests hardware securely and resists deformation under load
- Upgrade From Residential: Stronger than flat (residential) brace bands for tougher jobs
- Simple Hardware: Installs with a carriage bolt and nut (sold separately)
Beveled Brace Bands are the workhorse connector for commercial chain link fence terminals. Use one band anywhere a framework or accessory needs to tie into a terminal post—top rails, brace rails with rail ends, truss rods, tension wire, or three-wire barbed-wire extensions. The beveled profile adds strength versus flat residential bands, and the galvanized steel finish provides reliable protection against rust and corrosion. Plan on one brace band per connection point, secured with a carriage bolt (not included). If you’re attaching a brace rail, pair the band with a rail end cup sized to your rail.
Why Choose This Beveled Brace Band
- Stronger Profile: Beveled band design is built for commercial loads and repeat tightening
- Versatile Usage: One part handles rails, truss rods, tension wire, and barbed-wire arms
- Reliable Finish: Heavy galvanized coating for outdoor durability
- Straightforward Install: Common carriage bolt/nut fastening (bolt not included)
- Fits Standard Systems: Available in sizes to match common terminal post O.D.s

Buying Guide
- Match Your Post: Choose the band size that matches your terminal post outside diameter (O.D.).
- Count Connections: Plan one brace band for each connection point on the terminal post (e.g., top rail, brace rail, truss rod, tension wire, barbed-wire arm).
- Rail Ends: If attaching a brace rail, add a rail end cup sized to the rail; the brace band secures the rail end to the post.
- Hardware: 5/16" x 1-1/4" Carriage bolt and nut are required (sold separately). Use galvanized hardware to match the band.
- Upgrade Path: For heavier duty work, beveled bands are preferred over flat bands used in residential fencing.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What does a brace band do?
- It connects framework and accessories—like top rail, brace rail + rail end, truss rod, tension wire, or barbed wire—to a terminal post.
- How many brace bands do I need?
- Use one band for every connection point at the terminal. A typical terminal with top rail, brace rail, and tension wire would use three.
- Are carriage bolts included?
- No. Carriage bolt and nut are sold separately so you can match existing hardware.
- Do I need a rail end cup?
- Yes—if you’re attaching a brace rail. The rail end cup fits on the rail; the brace band secures the rail end to the post.
- Beveled vs. flat brace bands—what’s the difference?
- Beveled bands are stronger and typically used for commercial jobs. Flat brace bands are common in residential fencing.

I cannot believe that the shipping charge on a $50.40 order could be $23.72. That coupled with the fact that the order was placed on 1/25/2018, not processed until 1/29/2018, and the shipping took until 2/3/18 to arrive. The parcel made it's way to 5 states Pa, Oh, Il, Co & Nv. This is not a way to conduct business and keep returning customers. ***Signet Response*** Thank you for your feedback Dale. We're sorry that you weren't satisfied with your experience. The order was placed on a Thursday and shipped on Monday, so that is 2 business days. We are in PA and you are in NV, so the parcel did have to travel to you via UPS Ground, which is the service that you requested when you checked out. It could have been shipped faster, but that would incur an additional charge by UPS.
