Key-Link Lancaster Series Aluminum Stair Sections not only provide enhanced safety on your outdoor stairs, but also add a beautiful, upscale aesthetic to your space. Lancaster Stair Sections have a hefty 2.8" wide x 3-1/4" tall top rail, a 1-1/2" x 3-1/4" bottom rail, and 1" balusters, all made from extruded aluminum allow with a .090 wall thickness, which give them a heavy duty look and superior performance. These sections are designed for standard pitched stairs of between 32 and 36 degrees. They come as a boxed kit that includes a 4-pack of self-centering stair mount brackets that attach easily to Key-Link Newel Posts, or any other flat surface. The hardware to attach the brackets to the posts is also included and designed to color match the railing so that they blend in with the overall look.
Lancaster Stair Sections are available in either 36" tall or 42" tall. Which height you choose is typically determined by your property type: 36" Tall railing meets residential building code (IRC) and 42" meets commercial building code (IBC). Check with your local code enforcement office to see what the height requirements are in your area because they may be different from the International Code Council (ICC) standards. Both heights are sold in 6' and 8' wide sections. Often, you will need a stair railing section that isn't exactly 6' or 8' wide, so you will have to cut the section down to fit, which can be accomplished with a hacksaw. It is even possible to cut 1 8' section down into 2 - 4' sections and use both, if you purchase an additional set of stair railing mounts to be used with one of the sections. Finally, the Lancaster offers a choice of 5 baluster options, 3 standard colors, and 10 special order colors, making the railing highly customizable to suit your needs.
