Installation
Fit your brace band over your terminal post (end post or corner post), and then secure using a 5/16" x 1-1/4" carriage bolt (not included). If using a rail end, place the rail end bolt hole between the brace band bolt holes and use the carriage bolt to secure them all by tightening the nut.
Buying Guide
- Size Selection: Choose the brace band size that matches your terminal post’s actual outside diameter (see Specifications).
- Count Your Connections: Plan one band for each connection point (e.g., top rail with rail end, brace rail with rail end, tension wire).
- Hardware Match: Use a 5/16" x 1-1/4" galvanized carriage bolt and nut for corrosion resistance (sold separately).
- Rail Ends: When attaching a rail, add a rail end cup sized to your rail; the brace band secures that rail end to the post.
- Right Grade: Flat bands are ideal for residential jobs; consider beveled (commercial) bands for heavier loads.
