    OZ-Deck 12" Deck Plates are an innovative way to build your deck or load bearing structure without pouring concrete footers. These plates are independently tested to perform as well as concrete, and rated for loads exceeding 6500 pounds. The plate is designed to be used with either the T4-850 4 x 4 Drivable Post Anchor or the T6-700 6 x 6 Drivable Post Anchor. The anchors are driven through the hole of the deck plate and locks into place thanks to it's unique design. A jackhammer installation is recommended for applications using the OD-T4 plates, as it will help compact the soil under the plate and prevent it from settling over time. A JDK (Jackhammer Driver Kit) has the necessary jackhammer bit and 4 x 4 spacer needed to drive the T4-850 anchors into the ground. If using the T6-700 Anchors for 6 x 6 posts, you will also need a 6x6 spacer in addition to the Jackhammer Driver Kit.

    One of the many benefits of using OZ-Deck plates along with OZ-Post anchors to install your deck is that they will help keep your posts from prematurely rotting. That is because they hold your posts up out of the moist soil, encased in a hot-dip galvanized sleeve. When you pour concrete footers, you have to worry about water seeping down into the concrete and damaging your posts over time. The anchors are also great for areas where there is a freeze / thaw cycle, as the unique design helps to prevent the frost heaving your posts out of position.

      heavy duty plates will definitely hold up to the job and easy to use with the T6-700 oz-post

      Signet was the only company selling this plate as a single unit. Everyone else I found sold them only in sets of six. I needed one to go with my OZ-Post assembly that's supporting a large bird feeder. I wanted the extra bracing the heavy gauge plate provides.
