The OZCO OWT Post Base Single Rail Saddle are part of the OZCO OWT Ironwood Railing System. They are designed as terminal post saddles for the end of your railing. All OWT Post Base Rail Saddles are designed to hold your railing at the correct height to meet building codes. Not only do they look great, but they can also save you time on the job site, both because they are pre-engineered and because you won't have to spend time thinking of ways to hide ugly hardware - with OWT, the hardware is one of the nicest parts of the project.

Manufactured from heavy-gauge galvanized steel with an exterior grade powder coat, these post bases and rail saddles are tough enough to withstand any climate or weather without fear of rust or corrosion. Even though they are outdoor tough, they are refined enough that they can also be used for indoor rails and stairs. Install the single rail saddle (inline or at 90°), seat the 2×4 rail, and drive the included fasteners — use a 3/8″ hex driver for Hex Cap Nuts/Timber Screws and a T25 bit for the #12 rail screws. Always fasten into sound lumber and follow local code for guard height, spacing, and loads.
