Looking for a general purpose fence pipe that is light enough for easy residential installation, but rugged enough to work for most commercial projects as well? If so, then SF20 is a great fit. This pipe is thicker walled and stronger than our .065 pipe, which means that it is great for projects with heavier gauge fabric (like 9 gauge) and projects that use tension wire. The thicker walled tubing is also great for commercial and industrial gate frames. Your whole fence framework can be constructed from SF20, including posts, top rail, and any brace rails.
Ideal Fence Projects for SF20 Pipe:
- Most Commercial Chain Link Fences
- Heavy-Duty Residential Fences
- Commercial / Industrial Gate Frames
- Parks & Playgrounds
- Fences w/ Privacy Screen or Slats
- Carports
- Party Tents
Non-Fence Related Projects for SF20 Pipe:
- Temporary Structures
- Framing for Greenhouses
- Furniture
- Handrailing

What is Swedged Chain Link Pipe?
Swedged pipe has one end that is tapered down to a diameter small enough to fit into the inside of another pipe of the same size. For example, the swedged end of a 1-3/8" pipe will fit into the standard end of a 1-3/8" pipe. This is usually done so that the pipes can be fit together continuously and seamlessly. In chain link fencing, swedged pipe is typically used for top rail, where the rail runs in one continuous line the length of the fence. For that reason, swedged rail is usually only sold in full lengths of pipe - 21' and 24' long. If your pipe is not swedged, then you would need a sleeve to join your two unswedged rails together.

Best poles on the market
I could not find heavier gauge pipe local and by some twist of luck I landed on the signet site. Great experience, I even emailed after the order and added more and they made that process easy too. A++
