Product Description
OZ-Post® IS-600 Steel Post Anchor — Fits 2-3/8″ (2.375″ O.D.) Round Posts — 24″ Length
- No-Dig Post Foundation — Drive-in ground anchor for standard 2-3/8″ O.D. chain link/steel posts; set posts without digging or concrete
- Engineered for Tough Ground — IS-600 uses a fin that’s shorter but thicker than the 34″ model to penetrate hard-packed soil, asphalt, rocky areas, roots, or for driving into a rotten post cavity
- Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel — Heavy 3 mm body resists corrosion and is suitable for outdoor service
- Compression Collar Lock — Slide the post in and drive the collar to clamp tight around the pipe for a clean, secure install
- Fast Workflow — Install with a manual driver or jackhammer driver kit; start building right away
- Wind-Load Tested — OZ-Post anchors have been laboratory tested up to 120 mph for privacy fencing (always size to local code and soil)
The OZ-Post IS-600 is a 24″ drive-in steel post anchor sized for 2-3/8″ O.D. round posts—the common terminal size in chain link—as well as sign and railing posts. Its modified geometry (~30% shorter fin, ~50% thicker) is designed to punch through dense soils and even asphalt where traditional augering is slow or impractical. Drop in your pipe, drive the compression collar, and move on—no forms, no cure time, and far less mess than concrete. For taller/windier fence lines in typical soils, many installers step up to the 34″ ISW-850 for extra embedment depth; for slab-on-grade or decks, see our surface-mount base option below.
Why Choose This
- Speed with consistency — Repeatable, concrete-free installs that keep jobs on schedule
- Cleaner jobsites — Minimal excavation; drive through many compacted or paved surfaces
- Built for outdoors — Hot-dip zinc coating and elevated post base help mitigate corrosion risks

Installation
Lay out post centers and call 811 to locate utilities. Using a manual driver or jackhammer driver kit, drive the IS-600 to grade. Insert the 2-3/8″ pipe fully, check plumb, then drive the compression collar (use the CDT-07 cap tool) until it locks around the post. In very rocky or bedrock conditions, pre-drilling may be required; through asphalt is often feasible. Follow local code for post spacing, height, and wind exposure.

Buying Guide
- Soil & embedment: IS-600’s shorter, thicker fin is tuned for hard soils and asphalt. In typical soils or for taller/windier fences, consider the deeper ISW-850 (34″).
- Tools: For a few posts, the MDK-13 manual driver works well; for long runs, a jackhammer driver kit speeds installs.
- Set the collar fast: The CDT-07 cap driving tool makes locking the compression collar quick and consistent.

Survey
Product was great and is working well for purpose I bought it for. Next day air was a waste of Money because it took them 3 days to get it here. You need to add a 3 day select service because ground takes too long and air is unreliable anymore and very expensive. Left you 3 messages about that and got NO response from you via phone.

OZ-Post IS-600 is a no brainer!
These made setting posts a breeze. Hardest part was making sure they were going in straight, with a post level all you have to do is pay attention. Easy to install, easy to drive, even easy to remove..brilliant!
